Job Objectives

The purpose of the position is to ensure that both internal and external customers are assisted and welcomed in a professional and efficient way.

Primary Job Overview

  • Assisting walk-in customers in a professional and friendly manner, direct persons to relevant personnel or department
  • Answer switchboard, screen and direct calls, take and relay messages
  • Provide information to callers
  • Ensure knowledge of staff movements in and out of organization
  • Monitor visitor access and maintain security awareness
  • Assist with the booking of boardrooms etc when required
  • Routine typing, clerical or admin duties

Minimum Qualifications and Experience

  • National Senior Certificate (Matric)
  • Previous experience in a similar administrative role will be advantageous.
  • Must be Disabled, with a valid Medical Report

Key Competencies Required

  • Computer literacy – Microsoft office and email
  • English Language – Read, write and speak.
  • knowledge of administrative and clerical procedures
  • knowledge of computers and relevant software application
  • knowledge of customer service principles and practices
